Deli Board

National Sandwich Month might be winding down, but a good sandwich is something that is worth celebrating year around. If I had to pick one sandwich to lavish praise on…well it would be anything at Deli Board.

Located in San Francisco’s SoMa District, Deli Board is self described as having Midwest roots with the classic flavors of an East Coast deli and a left coast twist. Its shop on Folsom Street draws crowds daily with the line out the door during peak hours.

These well-architected sandwiches are built on a foundation of quality ingredients — from the fresh bread made in-house to the skillfully prepared meats. One of Deli Board’s mammoth sized sandwiches could easily be split between two people, but one bite and there is no way you will want to share.

One of my favorite sandwiches is the Bradley, which is built on top of garlic French bread and piled (ridiculously) high with corned beef, pastrami, brisket, cheddar cheese, jalapenos and board sauce. If beef piled on top of beef isn’t your thing then check out the Skully, which is turkey breast, kosher salami, muenster cheese, American cheese, jalapenos, mayo, board sauce and coleslaw on top of a Dutch crunch roll.

My suggestion — take a friend and split two of the sandwiches so you can experience even more of the awesomeness.

Visit Deli Board at 1058 Folsom St., San Francisco, CA 94103
